Online therapy · Burlington

Burlington therapy that meets you where the week actually lands.

Virtual psychotherapy for adults and couples in Burlington, Aldershot, and across Halton Region. Trauma-informed, attachment-based, paced for what you can hold.

About online therapy in Burlington.

Burlington runs at a particular pace. GO train commutes to Union, kids in school somewhere between Tyandaga and the Beachway, weekends along Spencer Smith Park or up on the escarpment. The version of yourself who handles all that is not always the version who needs the most care.

Online sessions remove the calendar tax. You meet your therapist over secure video from your house, a parked car at Burlington GO, or a quiet office at lunch. The 50 minutes belong to you, with no parking meter and no commute on the QEW.

Why Burlington

Online does not mean less personal.

Both Anchor & Bloom clinicians are Ontario-registered and understand the Halton context: the OHIP gap for private psychotherapy, the wait times at Joseph Brant Hospital's outpatient mental health programs, the specific weight of being a parent or partner in a city built for two-income households.

Online therapy is the same clinician every week, in your space, with the same depth as in-person work. The format is virtual. The relationship is real.

Crisis support

If you need help right now.

Anchor & Bloom is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis in Burlington or anywhere in Halton Region, the following are available:

  • Talk Suicide Canada: 1-833-456-4566 (24/7), text 45645 (4 pm to midnight ET)
  • Suicide Crisis Helpline: call or text 988
  • COAST Halton: 1-877-825-9011 (Crisis Outreach and Support Team, 24/7)
  • Joseph Brant Hospital ER: 1245 Lakeshore Road, Burlington
  • If you are in immediate danger, call 911

Common questions about online therapy in Burlington.

Do you see clients in person in Burlington?

Anchor & Bloom is currently online-only. Both clinicians are CRPO-registered to practice across Ontario, including Burlington, Aldershot, Tyandaga, and downtown Brant Street.

I commute on the GO train. When do you have availability?

Weekday evenings through 7 PM and select daytime slots. Online sessions mean you can take a session from the train, your car at the GO station, or your home after dinner.

Is virtual therapy private if I live with family?

Most clients find a quiet room or sit in their parked car for the 50 minutes. Sessions are held through Jane, a PHIPA-compliant Canadian platform with secure end-to-end video.

How long does therapy take?

Short-term work can be 6 to 12 sessions. Longer work for trauma or relationship patterns often runs 6 to 12 months. We talk about pacing throughout. There is no minimum commitment.

Are your fees standard for the Burlington area?

Yes. Individual sessions are $180 (50 minutes), in line with the average CRPO Registered Psychotherapist rate in Halton Region. Couples sessions are $200 (50 minutes) or $285 (85 minutes). Psychotherapy is HST-exempt in Canada as of June 2024.
