Provider title
Does the plan cover a Registered Psychotherapist, and does it cover a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)?
Fees, insurance & claims
Many Canada Life extended health plans include mental health or paramedical benefits. Whether that includes a Registered Psychotherapist depends on the employer booklet. We are not affiliated with Canada Life, and we cannot promise reimbursement.
Ask these four questions
Does the plan cover a Registered Psychotherapist, and does it cover a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)?
How much remains this year, and is there a per-session cap?
Do you submit receipts, or can a clinic submit through TELUS eClaims or the insurer portal?
Does the plan treat couples therapy differently from individual psychotherapy?
Many Canada Life plans do. Some do not. The only reliable answer is your booklet or a call to member services. Ask for the exact title, including whether Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) is covered.
Only when the clinician, the Canada Life plan, and TELUS eClaims all allow it. That is currently available through Katelyn when the plan participates. We confirm when you book.
The free consultation can include a coverage check. It does not guarantee a paid claim.
